Blogging was on hold....

As many of you may or may not know, our house was hit by lightning so we lost our computer! The TV was easy to fix direct TV was MORE then happy to replace our box and everything is fine. But our computer is ruined, Kyle and I felt lost for the first week or so but now we have realized that yes you can live with out a computer, it's not fun or easy some days but overall we will survive.

In the mean time the biggest thing is that I have not been able to update my blog, upload my pictures I have in general been "out of touch". However now I am back, although we still are working on getting a computer at home we did upgrade our phones with Internet! I do think Kyle and I will be looking into getting a lap top we have started our search and soon will be back up and running at a 100%. I will try and update my blogs soon to get caught up as I was using this as a way of making journals of my life. Well one day at a time!

Our end of summer vacation

Well we have decided that every year before the kids will go back to school we would do one last family fun weekend. Kyle's parents have a time share in Ormond beach FL and let us use it for the weekend. Our good friends from GA came down to have a couple days in the sun with us.

This is our time share we had a great room overlooking the pool and direct ocean view.
Alyssa was more then happy to pose with her bucket, and to show how far the water came up
What would a day at the beach be with out anytime to play in the sand
Everyone in the water, it was actually really cold but after a few minutes it was ok
Ethan and Logan pretending to be crabs...or trying to body surf
I love this picture of Ethan and Logan walking hand and hand to the beach
Alyssa on the boogie board...she is our little surfer girl!
Ethan wanted a try and he did pretty good
I asked Ethan to show me his muscles...he is so cute!
With Hurricane Bill off the coast the waves were HUGE, Kyle was so excited to get out there and go surfing. I took this picture so when the rip curls swept him away i had this picture to show the life guard, lucky for us he did ok.
Good bye beach for now.....I love the beach and so do the kids and Kyle. We feel so relaxed even if we go even just for a day. I love to watch the waves go out and come back in, I love the smell of the ocean air...I love that the kids can run around and play and be free.....I love the beach.

My weekend

Well I was taking pictures this weekend like I always do and was so excited to show off Ethan's new car bed, and the kids at Emma's birthday party and then swimming at Grandma's and Ethan doing it all w/out his aqua man suit....BUT MY CAMERA BROKE!!!! I was so upset! I know you may think.."what's the big deal?" I am by no means RICH and now I will have to hope and pray it can be fixed if not I will need to save up for another one and this is very upsetting since I ALWAYS have my camera in my purse in case the moment arises. I took alot of great pictures this weekend! So of course it had to be this weekend. Ethan was showing his Uncle his car bed and "BANG" the camera hit the floor and the lens is bent in, and of course it was just out of warranty...my luck. But we did have a great weekend at Emma's party and the kids went in the water on the four wheeler with Uncle Herb and got to give alot of hugs and kisses to Lillian, also got to hang out with Grandma and bake a cake with Katelyn and Kaley.Man the post is so borrowing without pictures!!!! Well hopefully soon will post!

Aquatica...again

Alyssa wanted to pose and kept climbing higher on the rock I was trying to do this quick before they caught us, I know we shouldn't climb but it was a cute picture.
Ethan once again passed out! But give me time to relax too!

Alyssa playing on the slide so funny
Ethan was so cute trying to get down the slide in his suit!
Alyssa and Ethan kept going on this slide this must have been the 10th time!

It was so cute watching them work together to carry the raft to the top
Ethan was happy to go onto the bigger slides this time since he had been practicing swimming
And of course who wouldn't be brave enough to go when your sister was waiting at the bottom for you, this was the BEST part of the day. Alyssa was egging him on and telling him she was going to catch him! I love to see them like this.
We had such a fun and busy weekend, but Sunday was the best! I LOVED watching the kids together, even though at times they are fighting and driving me crazy, when I see days like this I know they do LOVE each other!!! Alyssa is such a great big sister, someday Ethan will see.

Weekend in review

We had a very long an exciting weekend. To start on Friday while I was at work Kyle and Ethan enjoyed a Father son day at Disney's Epcot park. Ethan just loves the trains and never gets to just watch them so Kyle thought it would be fun for them before heading over to the Contemporary resort hotel to stay for the practice run of their vacation club section.

It you ever want to know how to get a 2 year old to take his nap...take him to the pool for at least 4 hours, and you will get the results!
This was the pool at the hotel and the slide that was endless fun for the kids, ok and the adults too.
This is the view of the hotel/time share from the pool side...oh FYI my Dad was the head Engineer manager...he's an owner.
Of course we got the royal treatment since my Dad has been working so hard and got to have room service, it was fancy and oh so good.
Ethan is always happy with his trains, Mama J and Papa J bought him one just for there house.
This was our view. Notice I took it inside..hahaha 10 floors up nice view, but not going outside!
This was the view of the living room
This is the dining area

Poor Ethan after a fun filled day at Epcot he passed out on the chair
Daddy took Ethan to see the fire truck
Daddy and Ethan on the nemo ride
Daddy and Ethan got a picture with Mulan
Ethan loves Alice, Alyssa was Alice for Halloween before maybe that is why?!
And of course the full purpose of his day THE TRAINS!!! He even loved riding the monorail Daddy said.

Kids............

So my kids have been "living it up" this summer. As my previous post was all about them staying at the time share with grandma this week while Kyle and I both worked =(. I am glad they are both having a great time but I miss them, so I called Alyssa to say hi and see how things were going and she REFUSED to talk to me!! OMG I was so upset I am officially the worst Mom ever, my own daughter doesn't want to talk to me! She said she was busy and would call me later....really???
I talked to my sister in law Kari who is also staying at the time share and she said we would have Alyssa call me when she got a chance. So I went about my work and was really missing the kids when my cell phone went off....FINALLY she is calling me.............Ummmm no, Alyssa sent me a text message that read " I love you mommy cause you are the greatest" awww how sweet and it made me feel so much better. Yes I am not getting text messages from my 6 year old daughter. I always say I don't have time to talk I text message like it's my second language and tell everyone I only have time for virtual friendships. So if your not on facebook or don't read my blog or you don't have a blog I am clueless, and I realize now my daughter is doing the same thing.
Well we will talk about this, I knew at some point in my life it would come down to nothing more then a text message from Alyssa, but at 6 years old??? I don't think so!

My new cell phone....=(

Well while on our "staycation" there was a minor incident. While Grandma and I were trying to get the chairs and all the toys situated, Ethan quickly grabbed his ball and wanted to go into the pool. He was not ready and did not have his swim suiton which we have given the name "Aqua man suit", so I told Kyle's Uncle Dick to watch him while we finished getting everything ready. I was getting ready to head out to meet up with some friends for just a bit when I heard a splash, I turned and did not see Ethan, my heart skipped a beat an when I looked in the water I saw Ethan's ball and then saw him under water....I quickly jumped in and grabbed him and of course this was all in a matter of seconds so he was 100% fine, but not my cell phone!!! Alyssa quickly pointed out that my cell phone was hanging out of my pocket... I have waited 2 years for a new cell phone!!Of course there is only 1 Ethan and I did not think twice about jumping in to get him, but dang it!!! MY CELL PHONE!!!!!!!!!
I will be looking to see if it can be fixed, but if not will be forking out the big bucks since I just renewed my contract with my cell phone company, or perhaps a go phone...but all in all as a Mom I guess this is one of the reason i am not suppose to have the new hip and up to date cool phones! But I think I will try one more time and see. It was the really cool flip fun and fun for text messaging...but again I love Ethan and he can NEVER be replaced. Even though this was a very minor pool incident it made me release 100% Ethan thinks he is water proof, so this weekend I will be signing him up at the pool club for swim lessons 5 days a week for 4 weeks and they will teach survivor basics and swimming so next time he does not have his "Aqua man" suit on he will still be able to swim to the top!!

Our DeVore family "Staycation"

Grandma traded her beach time share in for one a little closer to home that way all of us could enjoy it on the weekend and week nights when we can to go out and go swimming, it was a nice 30-40 minute drive from home so just far enough away to get away from work and life an trust relax.
Grandma, Alyssa, Kaley, Katelyn and Ethan were all relaxing watching TV on the KING size bed
Alyssa, Kaley, Katelyn and Ethan were all so cute laying together all comfy.
After some dinner and relaxing we decided to go to Old town for the car show and some ice cream Ethan was in heaven he loves cars and really liked the "Mater" tow truck

Daddy, Grandpa and Ethan were checking on the fancy convertible car...boys will be boys

After walking around in the heat decided to take a break and have some ice cream, Alyssa and Daddy at the A&W ice cream shop
Kyle and his sister Kari, well family is family gotta love them. Each are special in their own way!

Ethan and Mommy sharing some ice cream, FYI the matching shirts are from Grandma Susie, she made them for when we go on DeVore family fun day trips, we usually stand out!

Ethan and Daddy taking a picture in front of the fire truck, or Red as Ethan says(from the movie Cars for those that don't know)

After all that nothing could be better then a jacuzzi tube with 4 cute...dirty kids

Some day poor Ethan will hopefully have a boy cousin so far ratio is 5:1...poor guy!

After the bath Kyle tried to get all the kids to lay down and relax with some cartoons before bed...nice try though

Alyssa, Kaley and Katelyn showing off their princess PJ's and matching hair do's.

Aqua man in the pool and Alyssa having a great time in the pool

I am always behind the camera, but Susie was snapping pictures, so thought I would post one with me finally.Ethan/Aqua man hanging out by the pool watching Grandma and the kids having a good time

The girls took a break and hung out in the kid pool, they had so much fun.

After the pool we quickly got cleaned up and went to get the kids face painted, here they are waiting.
The girls did not want to get their faces painted so Grandma got a heart and everyone else followed.
Alyssa of course go the princess painting on her face, and showing off their hands too
Aunt Kari took the girls outside to do a puzzle for some quiet time while Ethan took his nap.
And of course Grandpa was very helpful in helping Ethan take his nap, well what fun is napping alone.
